2021 Nissan Rogue Full Overview

Nissan Rogue is one of the many new or redesigned Nissans that will hit the market in 2021 and continues to evolve the Japanese brand into more premium options significantly. In the segment led by the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, the all-new 2021 Nissan Rogue brings sophistication, comfort, usefulness, and value proposition.

With the all new Rogue, Nissan's vision is to become a "family hub" - providing as much comfort to the back seat as possible - while also focusing on safety, comfort, and improved driving dynamics. 2021 Nissan Rogue Trim Levels are S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Engine and Fuel Economy

A naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine powers each version of the Rogue. It produces 181 hp. and 181 lb-ft of torque, better than before. Continuously variable transmission (CVT) is the only transmission option. For 2021 front-wheel drive comes standard, and all-wheel is optional at every trim level.

In its fuel-efficient form (front-wheel-drive S trim), Rouge achieves 27 MPG cities, 35 MPG highways, and a combined 30 MPG. All other front-wheel-drive trims drop 1 MPG in all categories (26/34/29). All Wheel Drive S is rated 26/33/29, and all other trims (SV, SL, Platinum) are rated 25/32/28. All this makes the 2021 Rogue one of the most effective in its class.

Interior and Cargo

Fabric seats are standard, but midrange SV models can be combined with optional faux leather upholstery. Luxury SL and Platinum get real leather and are semi-aniline with quilted stitching. Heated front seats and steering wheel and three-zone automatic climate control is available at Alvin car dealerships.

The cargo space is up to 74.1 cubic feet in its rear seats, making Nissan Rogue win with one of the most expansive cargo areas in the compact SUV class. When the rear seats are up, you get 31.6 cubic feet of cargo space. The SL and Platinum models come with a configurable Divide-N-Hide cargo floor, increasing the area behind the second row to 36.5 cubic feet. Besides, the complete opening of the hatch makes it easy to load bulky items.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Nissan Connect Infotainment System works well. The eight-inch touchscreen is standard on the infotainment screen, while the 9-inch floating touchscreen, 12.3-inch customizable all-digital gauge cluster, and 10.8-inch head-up display are standard on the Platinum Top trim. Apple CarPlay & Android Auto are standard, and on the Platinum trim, wireless Apple CarPlay is coming. The new shows are crisp and clear, but the infotainment system is logical and intuitive.

The Nissan Concierge Personal Assistant Service will be provided free of charge at all tier levels for the first six months. Each version comes with a Bluetooth connection, Siri Eyes Free, Voice Recognition, SiriusXM Radio, and two USB ports on the front. There are also two charging USB ports are on the back of the top three trims. The S has a 4-speaker sound system, the SV and SL have a 6-speaker system, and platinum has a 10-speaker Bose Premium sound system. Navigation is standard equipment on platinum only.

Safety Features

The 2021 Nissan Rogue brand has the Nissan Safety Shield 360, a safety feature that comes standard with the lineup. Standard features also involve automatic emergency braking with pedestrian/bicycle detection, lane departure warning, intelligent forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic rear braking, rear crossing traffic alert, and driver alert system.
